Window Catios

Window catios, sometimes called a cat window box or catio window box, are the perfect solution for cat lovers who want to give their cats a safe outdoor experience without compromising on space.

At The Catio Company, based in Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington, we design and build custom window catios that not only look beautiful but also keep cats safe.

Window catios can also be the start of a much bigger catio setup. With a modular approach, you can create a window catio and then connect it to a cat tunnel that leads to a larger outdoor cat enclosure. This flexibility allows you to expand your cat’s outdoor space as needed, providing endless opportunities for exploration, play, and enrichment.

This window catio was designed with the cat's safety and comfort in mind. On top of the 1"x1" heavy-duty mesh, we added a pet-resistant screen to keep bugs out, ensuring a more comfortable outdoor experience for the cats. The trim not only provides a polished finish but also secures the pet screen firmly in place. Mounted on sturdy posts and deck blocks, this elevated catio offers a secure and stable environment for your cat to enjoy the outdoors while keeping pesky insects at bay.

💡 Did you know cats love windows? That’s because windows give them a front-row seat to the outside world. Watching birds, squirrels, and the movement outside provides endless entertainment and mental stimulation.

A window catio lets them safely soak up the sun, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy their favorite view, all while giving you peace of mind. Sometimes this little setup is all your cats need, a cozy outdoor retreat where they can lounge, nap, and stay connected to nature.

Small Window Catio for Compact Spaces

This window box catio is a perfect addition for homes where space is limited, but you still want to provide your cats with the outdoor access they crave. This type of catio is a practical solution that provides peace of mind and quality just as our larger catios, and it can be recreated using our cat run plans.
