This custom catio project in Tigard, Oregon was designed for two playful orange-and-white siblings, and we’ve truly never seen such a bonded pair! These sweet cats do everything together: lounging on the same perch, leaping side by side, and exploring their new cat patio as a team.

💡Did you know? Many people believe orange cats are especially friendly and outgoing, often earning a reputation for being social “dog-like” companions. While every cat is unique, these two siblings certainly live up to that reputation with their affectionate and adventurous personalities.
This project began with an existing covered patio that we fully enclosed to create a safe and stylish cat patio. Built entirely from cedar and finished with our most popular 1x1 black heavy-duty black mesh, this custom catio is both durable and visually seamless with the home’s aesthetics.
Trim was installed to cover the staples and mesh edges and for a more polished look, and a pet door was installed on the wall so the cats can freely move between their indoor home and their outdoor catio. The shared patio space was designed to provide comfort for both humans and cats.
This Tigard catio is packed with enriching accessories that keep these two energetic cats entertained and active. The design includes perches, ramps, a full floor-to-ceiling scratcher, scratcher steps, and a cozy hiding box.
Some of the perches feature fun openings that connect to other levels, creating an interactive play area where the cats can chase each other, climb, and exercise both their bodies and minds. This thoughtful layout transforms the catio into more than just an outdoor enclosure, it’s a true adventure zone. 🐾
