Patio-to-Catio Conversion in Camas, Washington. Built by The Catio Company for a Foster-Friendly Family
This patio-to-catio conversion in Camas, Washington began with an existing aluminum patio cover that we fully enclosed and transformed into a spacious screened-in patio for cats. The result is a safe, secure, and functional outdoor cat enclosure designed to last in the Pacific Northwest climate.
What made this project truly special is the family behind it. This lovely household is deeply involved in fostering cats in our community, always giving their time and hearts to help animals in need. We are so thankful to have created a stylish and enriching catio for them, knowing it will provide countless foster cats with a secure place to play, rest, and feel at home until they find their forever families.
This catio was built out of cedar and painted to match the aluminum patio and backyard aesthetics. We used our most popular 1” x 1” heavy-duty black mesh with trim covering all the edges and staples, providing a secure and polished finish.
To complete the design, we added three handmade custom human doors for easy access and functionality.
This spacious catio is fully packed with our exclusive handmade accessories, thoughtfully designed to enrich the cats’ daily lives.
We installed perches, ramps, a hammock for lounging, a floor-to-ceiling scratching post, two custom hiding boxes, a suspension bridge, a ladder, and a human bench so the family can enjoy the space together.
A pet door was added on the house, allowing the cats to move freely between indoors and outdoors. We also installed a microchipped pet door that only opens for the cats wearing the programmed collar or chip, giving the family peace of mind while still letting their adventurous cats come and go safely.
