This beautiful catio is stained with a Koa Wood tone from Timberpro Uv, showcasing a 1'x1' heavy-duty mesh, and shaded polycarbonate roofing panels for optimal weather protection.
Leaning against the house and positioned just under the bedroom window to preserve the view, the cats have access through a custom-made pet door built into a basement window. An added kitty penthouse provides extra vertical space for lounging on a high perch, perfect for supervising the neighborhood. This cozy retreat was designed for Rogue, Otis, and Ollie, three Portland cats who love their new space.
What Makes This Catio Special 🐾
This catio started as a simple 6x8 design, kept at six feet tall to stay just under the bedroom window. But our clients wanted to give their cats a little something extra, so together we came up with the idea of adding a Kitty Condo lookout area. Elevated from the ground and attached to the side of the enclosure, it gives the cats an extra perch for lounging and enjoying their outdoor retreat.
Working with this family was such a pleasure, and seeing their cats step into the catio for the very first time was incredibly rewarding. Their excitement reminded us why we love doing what we do, creating safe, enriching spaces for pets and the people who love them.
