Features: This custom catio in Portland, Oregon is a very unique and creative design. The project transforms the client’s back entrance into a functional “buffer zone” between the house and the backyard.
The catio flows seamlessly into the garden, blending beautifully with the outdoor landscape while giving the cats multiple textures and levels to explore.
This catio was crafted from cedar lumber and finished with a natural cedar tone stain for a warm, timeless look. It features 1” x 1” heavy-duty black PVC-coated mesh, providing safety while blending seamlessly into the surroundings. A shaded polycarbonate roof adds protection from rain and summer sun, ensuring year-round comfort.
This catio is designed with multiple enrichment features, including perches, ramps, a floor-to-ceiling scratching post, a cozy hiding box, and a bubble-dome bed. Together, these elements create a stimulating environment where cats can climb, lounge, and observe their surroundings.

This catio stands out because of the relationship we built with the family. They had a clear vision of what they wanted, and it was a joy to collaborate and bring their ideas to life through careful design and communication.
What makes it even more special is that, though we built this catio over two years ago, they recently left us a review reflecting their ongoing happiness with the project. Being local means we stay in touch with our clients, often hearing updates and even receiving pictures of their cats enjoying their enclosures. That lasting connection, and knowing our work continues to enrich their cats’ lives, is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
